Our Historic District is home to a variety of street events and festivals over the course of the year. All events are free, family friendly, super fun!

Street performers from around the world converge in Miramichi at our 2nd annual buskers festival, August 12-14th at Waterford Green and on Water Street. This year we present acts from Santiago, Melbourne, Toronto through Quebec City including Guinness World Record Holders, Pele’s favourite soccer entertainer from South America, North America’s top hula hoop duo team and much more!  Also be sure to visit our Water Street music stage with live music each afternoon. The Napan Agricultural Show welcomes you August 11-14th to one of New Brunswick’s most unique agricultural shows. Just minutes from our district, this year’s rendition features everything from horseshoes to hauling matches, see you at the show!

Join the Clans to celebrate the Scottish culture on the Miramichi August 19-21st.  Enjoy music, song, dance, competitions, demonstrations, exhibitions and much, much more. Entertainment will feature many talents

Join us for the most unique Halloween events in the Maritimes! The Great Pumpkin Walk features well over 100 jack-o-lanterns mounted on our decorative poles through the distract and all handed carved by one of Canada’s master pumpkin carvers. Illuminated 24-hours daily, opening Friday, October 14th.

After disruption due to the pandemic, the 35th annual edition of the Parade of Lights returns to our district on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022. This year the date will also coincide with the return of our Candy Cane Lane, featuring Santa and his sleigh every weekend till the 25th along with our drive/walk-thru featuring beautiful street lighting, lovely windows and festive cheer.

WELCOME TO ATLANTIC CANADA’S LARGEST STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL

Join us June 24th-25th for a weekend celebration of street painting featuring artists from across North America and right here in New Brunswick. Water Street will close Saturday and Sunday and watch as artists rush to create 8’x10’ paintings on our street surface over two days.

There is also a live music stage, food vendors, a children’s chalk area with complimentary chalk – fun for the whole family! We are also hosting one of the continents top 3D chalk art teams in 23’ and we can’t wait to see what they create. All skills level welcome to participate, if you are interested in participating (or know of someone who might be) contact us for a complimentary artist kit and application form.

Join us for our inaugural kite festival on Saturday and Sunday, July 16-17th, 2022 presenting professional kite fliers, a general public flying zone, a kid’s kite zone, an entertainment stage and more at the Brick’s field along General Manson Way.  Daily from 9am to 5pm. As we rise out of the pandemic, our district family wanted to reach out and do something special for the community and what better fun than a kite festival? Canada’s Irish Festival returns to our district July 15-17th after a two-year absence. One of the many featured events this year is the family parade which returns starting at 10am on Saturday, July 16th at 10am
